- It will be compatible with PC and new generation consoles.
What to expect from the new Overwatch 2?
Overwatch 2 is a sequel, but this does not mean that you won’t be surprised about its new additions. And by this, I mean a lot of new things to do in the game. PvP modes, story-line, hero related quests. All of these are brand new to Overwatch, and in some of them, you might need to bring your friends squad to help you fight against the AI of the game.
Overwatch 2 release date
When it was announced in 2019 at BlizzCon, the game was still in development, the director Jeff Kaplan saying that the official release date cannot be certain., but some leaks on twitter suggested that the release for PS4 would be this year. Since we are in June, we might see the game faster than we thought. This information was taken from the PlayStation tweet in which they said: “2020 will be the year Overwatch 2 comes to PS4”. How can you not be excited?
Blizzard never mentioned a specific date of the release, but like any other fan, we managed to dig up some leaks, and all information is leading to this year. 2020 will be the year of THE Overwatch. The specific date still needs to be confirmed.
The new game will maintain a high level of PVP battles focusing on player accomplishments, and awesome action fighting graphics. On top of that, Overwatch 2 will now present to you with a story-line game-play format that will bring new rewards to the players.
Just to add some action to the game, you should expect to see some new heroes, new maps, and some new features that will be announced shortly.
Overwatch 2 Hero quests
Do you have a favourite hero in Overwatch? If yes, once Overwatch 2 will be released, you will be able to start quests to level up your heroes. They call this a “highly-re-playable mode”. By doing these quests, you will unlock some features that will help you customise your heroes, increase their ability powers, and more. The higher the level, the stronger you get.
All you have to do now is be patient. The game will come out as soon as possible, and it will be compatible with Overwatch 1. This means that players can join Overwatch 2 players in PVP. More than that, you do not need a new game purchase to play the new maps and heroes.
